My current project, Everything I Want It To Be / Everything I Wanted To Be focuses on the search for knowledge within personal archives of snapshot photographs. The impetus for this work is the examination of my own family’s photo albums, and the desire to form a relationship with the history I found there. Once the images are removed from their original context within the familial narrative, they cease to prompt memories, and instead exist as a blank slate. Everything… describes the process of looking to the archive, questioning, and ultimately building a new narrative.
